FAMILIA!
I grossly
underestimated my new time constraints and don’t have a whole lot of time to
write my email. So sorry :(
It was so fun to be
able to talk to you guys for a second while I was flying here. That was so
wonderful to hear from all ya’ll.
I LOVE PERU! It is so
crazy different then I thought and exactly what I expected. I know that it
doesn´t make sense but seriously, it is so awesome here. The people are super
poor and don´t even know it. That is what makes them so awesome. The little
houses are so tiny and cute, but nobody has carpet. Only wood and cement floors.
We don’t have to
worry about making our own meals down here because we have a pensionista who
makes all of our meals. Then we also have a lady who does all of our laundry.
WOW. We live with our pensionista who is not a member but who owns her own
restaurant.
We had the coolest
lesson the other day with a lady who makes burgers in the street. there were
cars whizzing past and people buying burgers, but we had a really awesome lesson
just the same. She is so awesome. her name is Cindy. We aren´t allowed to buy
hardly any of the food on the street because I am a weak little white gal. but
it all looks and smells so great. I love Peruvian food. It is sosososooso great.
My companion is
Hermana Martinez from Chile and she is 1. such a powerful missionary and 2. not
able to speak any English. I am learning Spanish really, really; really fast I
promise you that. It is hard, but I love it all the
same.
Sorry this was crazy,
but I don´t have time. It costs money to use the computers so I can’t stay on as
long as I used to. I LOVE YOU ALL SO
sososoosososo MUCH!
I love being a
missionary and I know the church is true, even in
Peru
con
cariño

PS The only one thing
has made my stomach sick thus far, but the problem is that it is what Peru is
famous for... uh oh... chow
