¡Les Amo!
I had an entire week when I was not sick! That is success! hahaha The problem is that me getting sick could be a number of different things so we havent really been able to spot a definite source yet. No mom, I havent gotten any packages yet, but it has been pretty crazy in the mission office lately and I expect that things are moving pretty slowly. Glad to hear that things went smooth in Sarah´s surgery. Hopefully she´ll be feeling real good in a few days so that she can chase after her kids again :). Dan and Claire sure are crazy, but I am glad that you guys are havin a blast preparing for the Thanksgiving.
This week we had a work visit from the hermanas that are our leaders. It is always fun to learn from other hermanas the things that we can be doing better or different techniques. I was with an hermana whos name is Hermana Allred. Shes got about a year in the mission and is so awesome. She also has 4 brothers and 1 sister in the exact same lineup as us. She also grew up on a dairyfarm outside of vernal utah. hahahaha. We bonded pretty well. We taught a whole bunch of people and I learned a lot about how to use members more in the lessons that we teach. And while we were there The pensionista asked me to try one of her famous chicken feet. I have been avoiding the things up till this point, but I finally broke down and gave it a try. It actually wasnt half bad, but I dont think I really want to eat it ever ever ever again
There is going to be a huge christmas concert here. The missionaries are all going to sing in the big plaza here called the Plaza de Almas. We will be singing on the 23 I think of december. all the missionaries are really looking forward to it, but our leaders are really stressed about it all.
We had 3 investigators in church this week! None of them had come before and so that was really fun. the stinky part was that the people who had come earlier werent´there..... bumer. But i think that these ones can really progress quickly. One lady and her son are Paty and Louis Carlos and the other investigator was the grandson of Maria who I told you about last week named Joel. They really seemed to like it, so lets see where that leads.....
Have so much fun in THanksgiving and eat lots and lots of cranberry sauce for me!!
I love you all and I love being a missionary in this time. The Lord´s hand is truly in this work and I am so grateful to be here in peru with these wonderful people.
Love Hermana Christensen
Mom- i dont know which foto I want shown to the ward, but I think I emailed all of the best ones to you guys already. If you dont like any of those email me next week and we´ll take a real nice one for the ward slideshow.
