Don't worry I am still alive and I am doing well! I tried like 8
times to send the other email but it obviously didn't work last week.
Sorry about that! As for my critters- The Herford heifer I want to name
PESQUEDA. I sent a picture of me and the hill
behind our house that is called pesqueda. The next bull calf that I get I
want to name it Laredo. That is the place that burns all of the
sugarcane hahaha. Thanks for taking good care of my critters for me
while I am gone. Glad to hear that saltines calf is
okay. Hopefully it wont have horns!
I am so proud of my ultra awesome nephew Christian for his first
place project in the science fair. What a champ. Sounds like Sarah is
sure busy with all of those little boys. I adore the cow updates. I
don't know why, but I sure do :) Hopefully Matt keeps
the new Spanish sisters in their ward busy with plenty of referrals!
This is one of those weeks that I just LOVE being a missionary. I
LOVE IT! We have a real person who is preparing for baptism and her name
is VANESSA. She is a rock star and so sososososo prepared to hear the
Gospel. She has been to church 3 times and
we have only been teaching her for 3 weeks. On Saturday we taught her
and invited her to be baptized in the first of March (wed been inviting a
bunch, but she always said she wasn't ready, that she wants to learn
more.). She gave us the same excuse again to
which we whipped out the baptismal interview questions and gave them to
her. She answered them all confidently and without hesitation. At the
end she said " That's it? Wow, I know more than I thought I did. So,
This Saturday then? Yeah, that would be great."
What a wonderful girl. Her brother is also listening and we invited him
to his sisters baptism. This next week ya'll will be getting fotos of
Vanessas baptism.
Also we have been teaching a lady named Patty. She isn't married,
but told us the other day that she wants to be baptized but is afraid of
getting married because she doesn't have confidence in her boyfriend
(they have 2 kids). I guess well have to go
slow then, but she told us that she went to church as a child and a
teenager a few times with friends and said that she always wanted to be a
Mormon. Hahaha. Hopefully we can get through this one :)
So I decided to read the entire Book of Mormon in Spanish and right
now I am in Mosiah 27, and I am having a real tough time getting
through all of the chapters in Mosiah because each time I read a chapter
I just find some really cool things and then I
have to read the entire chapter again because I don't want to miss
anything cool and every time I read it again I find something awesome
for me or for an investigator and members too. The Spanish isn't hard,
it is just that the Book of Mormon is so full of
good stuff to think about and do. I am really loving it.
Well, I am sure doing well and loving life right now. The weather
isn't as hot hot as it was and that just makes me want to work that much
harder. I love being a missionary! Thanks for all the emails this week.
I have actually been wondering what Sarah's
family has been up to lately :). Now only if I could hear from Ben....
Good luck at BYUI. ( I'll pray that you get the Fall/winter Track)
Love you all!
