First of all, congrats to Taylor! He will just rock it up down
there in Argentina. There is an elder in my district who is from
Argentina. He says that it is by Buenos Aires, but I assume that
everyone has already wikapidiaed that and knows everything
about it. Good luck to Jonathan and his big job interview! Ill be
sending some prayers up for you guys! Sounds like you guys sure are busy
right now.
Sigh- Vanessa couldnt get baptized this week because her dad said
no. He has been in the mountains working for the time that we have been
teaching Vanessa. Her mom said that she had to ask the dad for the final
OK before she would sign the form, and he
said that she couldnt right now. We were pretty sad because she was so
excited for this step. (and obviously we were excited too.) We began
teaching the mom and Vanessas sister, and things are going real slow
with that. The dad comes home in about a week and
a half so we want to talk to him about the Gospel and hopfully have his
daughter bear her testimony to him of the things that she learned. Maybe
we´ll just have to be pacient. It is so hard to get let down over and
over and over again. I dont know what I am
doing wrong, but I will continue giving my whole heart to the mission
right where it should be and right where I feel the happiest- With the
Gospel.
But the good news is that there are a set of elders in our ward as
well who were teaching the cutest little couple for a while and this
week on Friday they got married (with 4 other investigators! from
various companionships of elders) on Saturday they
got baptized and on sunday they got confirmed. Their names are Jean and
Nelly. We also have been working with them a little bit and were right
there to support them and the elders planning all of this stuff. And
good thing too. The Elders are not what we might
call "good decorators". We helped set everything up and get everything
ready. They are just so wonderful. At the baptism they insisted on a
foto with us. Bless their hearts.
We are sure working hard and I am still loving my mission. It is
tough sometimes when the agency of others is making things difficult for
us to see them progress. Hopefully Mom got to look at the mission blog!
Your hearts are on there as well as a pic
from our restaurant. I love you all so much!
