Alma 29:9

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.

2.4.14

Hey family!
Thanks for all the updates. I am really happy to hear about all the work that is going on in the temple. I am so proud of you guys and how dedicated you are in the work for our ancestors. I got a lovely letter from uncle darell and that he just had triplet calves. Wow. Calving season is always a nightmare, but futhernore I am very pleased to hear that the moving the cows went pretty smooth. (with the exception of the fogs herford) Dan and claire bought the Honda?! dude thats so rad. I got Claires Christmas package! Thank you so sos soosososo much. The candy and flag were so great. Thanks a bunch. Mom what I would like more than stingez or bug spray would be sunscreen.

What a week this has been! I am so excited to have a new companion. I love and miss hermana Martinez with all of my heart, but it is nice to have a new set of eyes to help me come up with some new ideas and new solutions for the things that are happening in the area. So that is really awesome. I surprised even myself by the ammount of spanish that i actualy knew until I didnt have a native with me. God has really blessed me. I can talk to everyone with few problems- if any. I am so grateful to my father in heaven for that.
It has been really hot here lately and I really dont like all the sun and all the heat. So I decided to pray and ask for the heat to lower for a while so I could work harder. For three days we had clouds and a nice breeze. Needless to say, my testimony has really been strengthened. I have physical proof of Gods love for me. When it does get hot I remember the miracle that I had this week.
There is a funny thing here in the summers called Carnivales. It is when everyone and everything is a target for a suprise water balloon attack. But seriously. Everyone has a water balloon on their person and a person who passes them who they may or may not know can become a victim to the water balloon. Also from the roofs and a bucket of water. We only had 2 that got thrown at us the other day, but for the most part they leave us alone because they know that we are missionaries of Jesus.
We met a new investigator yesterday. Her name is Isaura. She is super awesome. We had only about 20 minutes for a lesson with her so we talked about Jesus and invited her to be baptized like Jesus was Baptized. she said "of course! I have to be prepared to be baptized!" Woah, that was awesome. We walked out of her house on cloud 9.
We have been working like crazy with the menos activos in our ward and you can see the fruits of that. When we got here the attendance was about 115 and this week when we counted in sacrament meeting there was 144. I love this work so much. I am so grateful to be a missionary, adn I love the Gospel so much. Thanks for all the love and support

Love Hermana Christensen
