Alma 29:9

I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.

3.10.14

hi everyone
Thank you everyone so very much for all the lovely emails for my birthday. I got a whole load and I feel a whole lot of love from everyone. Thanks a million. I really needed that right now. I don't really have any plans for the birthday. It will probably just be a regular old day. and that will be just fine with me. I got my birthday package and loved it so sosososososo much. Thanks for all the little goodies. Especially the taco seasoning. I am making plans with my pensionista to make tacos real soon. The other news is that I am not going anywhere again when it comes to transfers. At the end of this transfer I will have almost 10 months here. Thats nuts. I will not know what to do with myself if/when I ever get transferred. I will not know anyone on the street or where everyone and their dog lives or everyone in the ward. Whatever.

Our investigators are progressing VERY slowly. I sure love them though. One´s name is Patty. She told us that she wants to get married to her esposo just so that she can be a member of the church and be baptized. She has got so much faith. The problem is that we have to get HIM on board with this . But I have got faith that everything will work out for the best. I sure hope so anyway.
I gave a talk in church yesterday about preparing for general conference. It got me really jazzed about GC. It is always fun (especially in Rexburg where the entire city shuts down during that time). But there's a little something special about being a missionary and listening to the living prophet because that is what we teach about every single day. I have come to find that prophets are the key to the true church of Jesus Christ.
I love you all. Sorry this is kind of short. I had a lot of birthday emails to read. Thanks again everyone. Especially for the pictures.

Love hermana Christensen
